Students will receive a Health and Safety Institute (HSI) BLS Provider certification card w/ First Aid (valid for two years) immediately upon successful completion of this class. This program is for professional rescuers: nurses, EMTs, dentist, doctor’s office staff, and any other healthcare professions. There are no prerequisites for this course. Non-healthcare providers may enroll in the BLS Provider class, or, can take one of our HSI courses designed for the lay-rescuer: adult/ child/ infant CPR/AED and first aid.
Students must complete the online portion prior to attending class, if you do not receive your online course within 30 minutes of registration please contact us as this system is not automated currently.
This blended Course includes:
High-quality BLS CPR for adults, children, and infants
The Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
Use of an AED
Effective ventilations using a barrier device
Heat Emergencies
Cold Emergencies
Bites/ Stings
Broken bones/ injured joints
Bleeding
Head/ Neck/ Spine
Many more First Aid skills
Importance of teams in multiple rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multiple rescuer CPR

Students receive a Health and Safety Institute BLS Provider Certification valid for two (2) years upon succesful completion of this course. The intended audience includes:
- Healthcare providers (in and out of hospital)
- Public safety professionals in a variety of
occupational settings (Police, EMS, Fire)
- Individuals enrolled in healthcare and public safety
career training programs
Non healthcare providers are welcome to take this class and there are no additional requirements. Optionally they can take our Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED course designed for lay-rescuers.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of the 21-question BLS written exam (included in the Online Learning)
- Demonstrate skill competency as indicated by the skill criteria on the “Adult BLS” and “Infant BLS” Performance Evaluation Sheets
- Students MUST complete the online portion of the class at least 2 hours prior to the Hands On Skill Session they wish to attend.
Beginning Oct 1, 2025 sales tax is added to all classes per WA State Law. Class cost is $110 with $11.66 tax, total $121.66
Optional Add Ons:
First Aid add on for courses that otherwise do not include First Aid Training. Please note that this will result in extension of the learning time by approximately 1 hour.
Course Manual: Students may purchase a physical skill guide to take home at the end of the class. This book contains information on all topics covered in the class. Students already receive a digital version of this book with their certification that is accessible for 2 years. Cost - $25, Tax - $2.65, Total - $27.65
CPR Pocket Mask W/ Case, gloves, and BZK Wipe. When arriving to class please indicate whether you would like Hard or Soft Case Style (Soft case has zipper, belt loop and clip). Cost - $12, Tax - $1.27, Total - $13.27
